He sat with me while I coloured and gave me company, he read me books, he went on walks with me and taught me recycling, he held my hand till the very end even though we were sadly separated for many years due to my father. But when we finally reunited I was so happy to see him again because I loved him so much. He was always so gentle voiced and kind to me and I will cherish those memories I got with him forever. I love you grandpa ♾ ❤️

Harold was a real gentle soul. We were on the same team in the men's golf league in Bow Island for several years. He was always a reliable team mate. He sat behind me at church and we would always have at least a short conversation. The last time I saw him was at the drug store in town. He was getting a ride home from a fellow senior, Merle Nelson, after playing pool at the Golden Age Club. It was cold that day and Merle was very surprised that Harold had walked to the club in such poor weather on his own. I just think Harold loved to be around other people. Rest in peace Harold.

We are sorry to hear of Harold's passing. He was our neighbor in Burdett. He was such a nice man & we will remember how jolly & friendly he was with us . A very kind man! We send our sympathies to all his family.

How sad I was to hear that my dear old friend Harold had passed on.
He was always a joy to be around at the Senior's Centre in Bow Island.
I have spent many an enjoyable hour playing pool golf with him and others at the centre.
Harold will be missed.
