Our Board of Directors

site image

Kindersley Community Funeral Home Board of Directors consists of people from the three areas we serve. A total of eight people makes up the board with one representing Eston area, one for Kerrobert area, and the remaining six for Kindersley area. These numbers come up historically when Kindersley expanded to include Eston in 1969, followed by Kerrobert in 1971.

The dedicated board members meet once a month (excluding summers) to sit down with the manager and go over the previous month dealings, managing any issues which may have come up, and discuss the future of Kindersley-Eston-Kerrobert.

Four of these (board) positions come up for election every second year, alternating with the other half so the board can see fresh faces join who also come with innovative ideas. Anyone who has had to use KCFH services becomes a member and are eligible to run for one of the board positions. We welcome people who express interest in helping this unique not-for-profit organization, be it sitting in at the Annual General Meeting and letting your voice be heard or be willing to join the board and help make some decisions on the future of this initiative.

Seen here are some members of our first group who made this organization possible.

Left to right: Mr. Edwin Longmire, Mr. Everton E. Fergusson (first Undertaker), Mr. Richard Ready, Mr. J.J. Adams, and Mr. J. Fletcher Gibbings standing out front of the first building used by the Association. This building may be what is currently known as "Three Way Radio", which is in front of what is (possibly) the still active "Wagner Shoe Repair" shop found on the North end of Main Street's East side. You can see by the photo that you can contact them by dialing or asking the operator to connect you with “76”.
