To all of the children, grandchildren & great grandchildren- our sympathy on the loss of Beth. I've known her for many years as a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph's & had the pleasure of phone visits with her every month before the CWL meeting. Even though I knew she couldn't often attend, I always called just to have a visit wiith her. I remember one of our conversations about cooking one time when she told me young people just didn't know how to cook rice anymore! You can't make rice in 10 minutes - it has to cook slowly with the lid on for at least half an hour to make good rice! Never one to pussy foot around things, she told you how she felt but with love & humor. She had a strong, strong faith & knew that this life was just preparation for the next. I was glad to be able to see her on her birthday in April & to wish her many blessings. She was so happy to have her family there with her to celebrate her 90th!! What comfort you all must have in that celebration. Although it is hard to lose those we love, Beth lived her life well & I'm sure you will have many humorous & fond memories to draw from in the months & years ahead. We will think of Beth fondly & of your family with sympathy in your loss & prayers of comfort.
