In loving memory of Anne Pearl Weekes, who passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, in Eston, SK, at the age of 98 years.

Beloved wife of the late Gordon Weekes, mother of Elaine, Glenn, Earla, Jerry, & Marie.

A Funeral Service will be held for Anne, on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Eston Full Gospel Church, Eston, SK, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Marie Grabek officiating.   The interment will take place after the service in the Eston Cemetery with Rev. Chris Toth officiating.

Weekes, Anne Pearl - born on the homestead at Abbey, Saskatchewan, on September 18, 1918.  She went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2017, at the age of 98 years.   She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her!   Remaining to cherish her memory are her five children Elaine (Thomas) Grooms, Glenn (Melanie) Weekes, Earla (Dale) Arsenualt, Jerry (Sheila) Weekes, and Marie (Roman – deceased) Grabek; fifteen grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren; her sister Elinor Northcott, sister-in-laws Beatrice and Audrey Pederson, brother-in-law Ken Oliphant and many wonderful nieces and nephews.  Anne was predeceased by her parents Peder and Almine Pederson, her loving husband Gordon Weekes, son Donald, granddaughter Sharlene Coffyne.  She is also predeceased by her sisters: Irene (Ken) Clapson, Olive (Bill) Oliphant, Isabel Oliphant, Cora (Bob) Halverson and her brothers: Elmer (Mary) Pederson, Levi Pederson, Earl Pederson, Norman (Vivian) Pederson, Eugene Pederson, and four young brothers: Levi, Gilbert, Robert, and David Pederson.

 

Anne loved her family, her garden and playing cards with family and friends; she also loved to bake and share it with everyone.  She enjoyed hairdressing for many years, and with great pride cooked at the Eston Hospital for 12 years.

 

A special thanks to the staff at the Eston Lodge, Dr. Stuart Holmes, and Dr. Debery.  As a family, we appreciate so much all you did for our mother.  Special thanks to Dennis Kerr who always kept mom looking lovely!   Thanks to everyone who came to visit mom, she so loved people and loved to visit.  Also, a very special thanks to all those who came from various churches to bring inspiration, encouragement and wonderful sing songs that mom loved so much!

 

The celebration of her life will be held at 1:00p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Eston Full Gospel Church, 925 Main St. S, where she was a member for many years.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), c/o 1705 McKercher Dr, Saskatoon, SK S7H.
