It is with heavy hearts that the family of Barbara Mock announce her passing at the age of 104 at the KLD health centre on Dec. 12, 2017. Barbara was born Dec. 10Th, 1913 to Frank and Barbara (Schneider) Tuchscherer on the farm in Tramping Lake. Her mother passed away when she was 3 years old and she moved in with her Grandparents who lived in the town of Tramping Lake
She married the love of her life Anton Mock Jan 5th 1939. They farmed in the Broadacres district until 1972 when they moved into Kerrobert. Together they raised their family of 5. They loved to travel, go camping and fishing, play cards, and attend dances. Her loves were gardening and helping to run the family farm.
Anton (Tony) died Jan 27th 1996.
Barbara remained in her home until November 2005 until she moved into the Pioneer Haven. This was her home until Nov. 2017 when she was moved into long term care.
She is survived by her sons Ken (Diane), Gordon (Karen) and daughter Linda, and daughter in law Irene. Her grandchildren Tim (Jennifer) Garland and daughter Sydney; Loretta (Pat) Thibault and daughter Shelby; Roy (Colette) Mock and daughters Ashley and Morgan; Jason (Shauna) and daughter Zoe; many step grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her Husband Anton, sons Raymond and Wilbert, her parents Frank and Barbara and Stepmother Anna, sisters Johanna & Catherine, Step brother Michael, stepsisters Eva, Rosalia, Evelyn & Anna, Half-brother Nelson, Half-sisters, Elizabeth, Bridgetta, Stephena, Angela, Genevive, & Magdalena.
Mass of christian burial will be Monday Dec. 18th at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Kerrobert. Sask.
The family would like to say a special thanks to the Staff and Residents of the Pioneer Haven for love and support Mom received during her time there. We would also like to thank the Home care staff, Dr. Wentzel and staff at KLD healthcare centre for their care during her short stay.
