Virginia Laurie Oswald was born on April 25th, 1947, at the Kindersley Hospital to her loving parents Pauline and Lloyd (Sparky) Ament of Kindersley.
Ginny was blessed with a close-knit and loving family. Her sister Bev was not only her sibling but her dearest lifelong friend; a bond filled with laughter, support, and shared memories. She also carried in her heart the memory of her sister Joanne who passed away in infancy. When her brother Roger came along, Ginny lovingly stepped into a caring role, helping look after him during times when her parents faced illnesses. The bond the siblings shared together remained strong throughout their lives.
Virginia grew up surrounded by the simple joys of childhood - horseback riding, swimming, skating, biking, and spending time with friends and family. She loved the golden sounds of her era - with Elvis Presley and The Beatles. After completing high school, Ginny went on to attend Marvel Hairdressing in Saskatoon where she received her diploma and came back to Kindersley. During this time, Ginny met the love of her life Dale Oswald, and on April 29th, 1967 they began their life long journey in marriage together. Soon after their marriage their hearts were filled with even more joy as they welcomed their daughter Angela, followed by a few years after the birth of their son Shawn.
Ginny's life blossomed around the love and care of her family. She cherished making memories throughout family gatherings, where her gift for cooking that brought warmth and joy to every table. Whether carrying meals out to the fields or sharing laughter over a coffee with her friends, her spirit shone brightly in every moment. Ginny also loved gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a cherished member of her church and community groups, generously giving her time to countless bake sales and suppers. She balanced family life with grace, caring for her aging parents and supporting other elderly members of her community with quiet dedication. She had soft, deep love in caring for her grandchildren. From their earliest days to adulthood she cherished each one dearly.
In her final years, Ginny was lovingly cared for by her devoted husband Dale, whose constant presence was a source of comfort. Surrounded by the love of her family, she peacefully passed away at Heritage Manor on Saturday, October 11th in the afternoon, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
