Viola "Vi" Blanch Piluk

Viola Piluk, age 89 years passed away peacefully in the early morning of May 30, 2022, surrounded by her granddaughters, Jade and Amy, and her children, Mary Jane, and Michael at Echo Lodge Care Facility in Fort Qu’Appelle Saskatchewan.  

Viola was born in Sonningdale Saskatchewan to Albert and Winnifred Corris.  She was the 2nd of 4 children.  Viola was predeceased by her loving husband Harry, parents and 2 brothers, George, and Ernest.  She leaves to mourn one sister, Faith (Don) Wyse and sister-in-law Thelma Corris.  She is lovingly remembered by one daughter Mary Jane (Darcy) Ganje, and grandchildren Alyssa (Jeff Green) great-grandson Ryker, Alexander, and Jade (Joel Kuntz) and one son Michael (Nancy) Piluk, and grandchildren Sarah (Adam Filby) and great-granddaughter Isla, Victoria (Shayne Corless) and great-grandson Benji, Amy (Dylan Fiessel), Destiny (Nolan Fuller), and Chad.  She also leaves a host of other special and dear relatives and friends.  

Viola will be lovingly remembered by her talents in the kitchen as she often spent time baking sweets, bread, and other home goods.  She was a member of Merid WI for many years.  Upon Viola and Harry’s retirement to Kindersley, they thoroughly enjoyed their daily coffees at Dairy Queen where they visited with old and new friends.  In 2017, Viola moved to Regina to be closer to her family.  Viola had a deep connection to her faith and spent many hours praying for her family.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Kindersley Alliance Church on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 10 a.m.  The service will be presided by Pastor Ron Baker and music by her close friend Marilyn Stevenson.  Thank you to the volunteers at Kindersley Alliance Church who will be helping with the fellowship time following the interment at Kindersley Cemetery.
