1930 ~ 2026 (age 96) 96 Years Old

Verna Clark Obituary

The family of Verna Clark are saddened to announce her passing on Friday, June 5th at the age of 96.

Born and raised in Netherhill, she came to Kindersley at 17 and worked at Hawes Bakery, McEwens and as an operator at the telephone office.

She met and married Jim in 1953 and together they raised three children.

Verna went back to work from 1970-1990 in the dentist offices of Doctors Barry Boardman, Hal McCarter and Derek Rogers in reception and book keeping.

Her greatest loves were her family, her cats, and her music. Singing In the United Church choir and playing the handbells as well as playing her piano at home brought her much joy! Mom always said she was so lucky to remain as healthy as she was and be able to stay in her own home with her cat Cooper. Coop passed away Dec23/25.

Verna was predeceased by her parents Gilbert and Wilma Baker, her in-laws, Alex and Leota Clark, Jim in 1986, sisters Grace, Ede and husband Earle Chambers and her brother-in-law Harry. Left to mourn are Dale ( Molly) Diane ( Gary ), their children Kim ( Norm) and Dan ( Lisa) , Donna ( Kelvin) their children Christopher and Melanie ( Jeff) and their 3 children Grayson, Maddox and Archer. She is also survived by Toni Clark and her daughters Colleen ( George ) Lana ( Joe) Gloria and Valarie, Jack and Amy Clark and their daughters, Dawn ( Tim) Jackie (Darren) Terri ( Todd) and their families, niece Sharon Chambers ( Rob) nephew Doug Chambers ( Lori) and cousins Muriel, Shirley, Tommy and Linda.

Verna was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She was always caring, always had a smile on her face, was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Verna’s family would like to thank the very caring staff at both the Kindersley hospital and Heritage Manor for their great care, kindness and compassion shown during her short stays.

Memorial Services will be held at St Paul’s United Church on Thursday June 11th at 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be served directly following the service where the family will join everyone following a private family interment.
