The Stevens family announces with the deepest sorrow the passing of Ted Stevens, at the age of 63, on November 13, 2020. Ted leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 43 years, Lorrie, his daughters Morgan (Kallom) Hadland and Lindsay Beckman and his grandchildren Riley and Ashlyn Hadland and Cooper, Taytum, Kane and Piper Beckman and their Dad Tyrel Beckman.
Ted was born in Saskatoon to Reg and Debbie Stevens on August 10, 1957, the oldest of 4 children. The family moved to Kerrobert, where Ted and attended school to graduation. He was involved and excelled in every sport, hockey, football, track and field, badminton, curling, volleyball, basketball and baseball. He also loved to hunt and continued to do it all for many years.
Ted and Lorrie married on April 16, 1977, and settled in Kindersley to raise their 2 daughters, Morgan and Lindsay. Many summers were spent at the family cabin at Emma Lake. Ted loved being a father, and when their 6 came along, he was a very happy grandfather. He was a devoted family man and spent all the time he could with all ofo them. Ted and Lorrie attended all the events they could for the kids, like band concerts, dance recitals, soccer games and ball games. He also got involved with softball coaching with his granddaughter and thoroughly enjoyed a new aspect of the sport. Ted was so very proud of all of his grandchildren and their accomplishments. He was a jokester and taught them all to share his wonderful sense of humour.
Ted and Lorrie enjoyed many trips to Mexico, it was truly their favourite vacation spot, and they made many lifelong friends along the way.
Ted loved his work at Tisdale's Sales and Service; there, he was much loved and admired for his dedication to his work as a salesman.
Ted is predeceased by his mother, Debbie, his mother in law Mildred, father in law, Ernie. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Lorrie, daughters, Morgan and Lindsay and their families, his father Reg, his sisters, Sandi, Colleen and Terri
A Celebration of Life for Ted will be held at a later date.
