He grew up in Saskatoon and was educated at John Dolan School. He was an enthusiastic member of the school’s rhythm band and enjoyed bowling. He travelled with his family to Vancouver, Ontario, South Dakota, Hawaii, and Arizona. He worked at Cosmopolitan Industries as a young adult. Later in life, Roy relocated to Kindersley and worked at the West Central Abilities Council. He delighted in singing, listening to music, writing, going for coffee, and visiting with family and friends. Three years ago, he moved to Heritage Manor. Roy was predeceased by his parents Scottie and Eileen Gordon; his brother Jack Gordon; and his sister Dixie (nee Gordon) Kennedy. Roy will be fondly remembered by his sister Tammy (Jerry Dirks) Gordon-Dirks; nephews Spencer (Lauren Busby) Gordon-Dirks and Dexter Gordon-Dirks; brother-in-law Earl Kennedy, Prince Albert, SK; Aunt April (Stan) Sampson, Weyburn, SK; Aunt Fran (Ted Deacon) Gordon; and many cousins. We’d like to express appreciation to the caregivers of Heritage Manor, and are especially grateful to Eva Schwab, for the companionship she offered to Roy.
