Robert Lotthammer Obituary

Robert Lotthammer (April 9, 1944-December 1 2024)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Robert on Sunday December 1st at the age of 80.

Robert was born in Kindersley. He completed grade 8, & held various jobs around Kindersley before he moved to Alberta. He would talk with great excitement about his time where he worked on a cattle and buffalo ranch in Veteran Alberta for Murray Sankey. Other communities he worked in included Stettler and Botha.

Robert returned to Kindersley in 1977. In 1985 Robert married Donna Pederson who had a daughter Jennifer and they lived in Kindersley. Robert worked loyally for the following farmers: Gary Mellum, Leonard Dahl and Lyle Jeffries.

Being a farmer for 42 years was Robert’s greatest passion. He was forced to end his farming career due to poor health.

He enjoyed going to Tim Horton’s, chatting with the locals and having an ice cream in the mall. He enjoyed his talks with friends, acquaintances and strangers.

Robert is survived by his wife Donna, step daughter Jennifer, his twin sister Ruth Chayer Lotthammer in Montreal, Quebec and Eva Lee (Dave) in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

He is predeceased by his parents Eric and Mary (Molly), half brother Glen Mitchell and sister Grace Koppenol.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Heritage Manor for their compassionate care given to Robert.

At Robert’s request there is no funeral. There will be a graveside service in the Spring for family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Farmer’s Stress Line Saskatchewan. If you would prefer to donate to another charity, please do so.
