Mildred Campbell Obituary

CAMPBELL, Mildred Doreen (nee Sauer), a devoted child of God, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026, at the age of 94 years.

Born on Feb 8, 1932, in Edenwold, SK, to John and Katherina Sauer, Mildred lived a life characterized by deep faith, steadfast dedication, and selfless devotion to her family and church. Mildred married Gordon Campbell on June 27, 1959, in Regina, SK, with whom she built a life centered on Christ. They raised 4 children together.

Mildred’s 94 years were a testament to her abiding love for God. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promise of eternal life. Mildred’s legacy is one of unwavering trust in God’s plan. Her servant’s heart was evident in her many years of cooking at Bible camps and volunteering at church in lay ministerial roles, alongside her husband for 52 years. Mildred also found joy in singing, playing piano, tending to her garden, sewing many quilts for her family, cooking, baking, reading, and puzzles.

Mildred is survived by her loving children: Daryl (Sandy) Campbell, Dwayne (Karen) Campbell, Gaylene (David) Behnke and Glenda Olson, twelve grandchildren; Michele (Sean Tynan) Campbell, Devan (Danielle) Campbell, Charissa (Matt) Napier, Becca (Jonathan) McKee, Katie (Zach) Palmer, Amanda (Keegan) Smyth, Daniel (Patricia) Behnke, Sterling (Kate) Behnke, Dean (Michela) Olson, Dustin Olson, Desiree (Ayden) Warkentine, Dylan Olson, and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Gordon Campbell, parents Katherina and John Sauer, her siblings; three brothers and six sisters, and son-in-law, Lyle Olson. She is also remembered fondly by many dear friends from her church and community.
