Obituary
The family of Katherina "Madeline" Rye are saddened to announce her passing on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 at the age of 88.
Beloved wife of Leonard Rye; loving mother of Linda Yaskow, Lucille (Richard) Layton, Clarence (Myrna) Rye, Sandra (Kirby) Goldsmith, and Darwin Rye; adoring grandmother of Chris (Julie) Yaskow, Blaine (Janelle) Layton, Dwight (Kim) Layton, Angela (Ryan) Cyril, Ashlee (Mitch) Maetche, Jordan (Afton) Goldsmith, Lacey (Matt) Sargent, Larissa Rye, and Caitlin (Mitch Hunter) Rye; great-grandmother of 16; She is also the beloved sister of Tony Dietz, Nick Dietz, Alfred Dietz, and Isabelle McNevin. Katherina was predeceased by her brothers Alec and Edward Dietz as well as her son-in-law Don Yaskow.
There will be a Memorial Service held for Katherina on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Paul's United Church with Pastor Doreen Hewitson presiding.
