Joyce Borschneck

Beloved wife of the late Nels Borschneck, mother of Cory Borschneck, Michele (Wes) Halter, Kevin (Joelene) Borschneck, Melinda (Dean) Klassen and Tracey (Bill) Beaudry, beloved grandmother of Jordyn and Matthew Halter, Janaya, Rylan, Tyson, and Danae Borschneck, Hannah & Kane Klassen, Aidan & Ali Beaudry.  Joyce is also survived by 4 siblings:  Lorraine Mock, Jean Porter, Diane Reed, and Brian Seffern.  She was predeceased by her parents Jeffrey and Dorothy Seffern, and 4 siblings: Marion Neumeier, Rita Cholin, Connie Alexander and John Seffern.

‘Joyce was born in Kerrobert Hospital on June 15, 1938, and raised on the family farm surrounded by her 8 siblings. She attended school at Oakwood and Kerrobert before working and living a new adventure in Calgary with her cousin Myrna. When she returned, she worked at the Kerrobert hospital before marrying Dad on August 7, 1965, and moving to a farm south of Tramping Lake. In 1968 they moved to their new house and farm where they raised 5 children, Cory, Michele (Wes), Kevin (Joelene), Melinda (Dean) and Tracey (Bill). After Dad’s passing in 1989, Mom stayed on the farm until all of the kids graduated, then moved to Kerrobert in 2003. Mom loved telling stories and having a good wheeze(laugh) with her siblings. She was the fun aunt and fun parent to all of our friends. She loved being a Grama to Jordyn, Matthew, Janaya, Rylan, Aidan, Hannah, Kane, Ali, Tyson, and Danae. She was a very hands-on Grama, on the floor and fully engaged in play. Her joy for life and sense of humour will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.’
In loving memory of Joyce Borschneck, who passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at the age of 82 years.
