It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce that our Dad Joe, passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on Friday, April 14, 2023.
He left to mourn his children: Kevin (Kowanda), Sheila (Brennan) and Lynette (Dave); grandchildren: Aubrey, Dawson, Madison, Carter, Jadaeya, Casey, Kordell, Hailey and Kiera. Joe was predeceased by his loving wife, Delores, his precious son Darryl (Shirleen), his parents, all of his siblings, and his second wife June.
Joe was born December 3, 1943 and was raised in Handel, SK on the family farm. He was the youngest in a family of seven and may have gotten away with just a little more than the others. After he graduated from high school, Joe worked for the CPR and was the last station agent at Salvador, SK. Joe then worked as the manager of the Credit Union in Tramping Lake for many years and then became the administrator for the RM of Mariposa. He married Delores Sieben on October 14, 1968 and lived in Tramping Lake for most of their marriage and raised their four children there. Dad moved to Kerrobert into Pioneer's Haven a couple years ago and enjoyed his time with new friends and being close to his girls.
He loved puzzles and cards from an early age and carried this on through his life. He could always be found in his massive garden, at St. Michael's church in Tramping Lake or the Golden Club playing cards. Dad enjoyed having fun and socializing with family and friends. He loved Elvis music and would always be up dancing to it if he could. Some of his fondest memories were of him spending time with his precious grandchildren - they all have lots of loving stories and memories to share. Everyone that knew him will have stories to share too.
There will be a Memorial Mass held for Joe Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 11:00 am from St. Michael's Parish, 335 Saskatchewan Ave, Tramping Lake, Saskatchewan.
Donations in Joe's name may be made to St. Michael's Parish, with information on where to donate below.
