Jean Elizabeth (Johnstone) Wagner
March 9, 1938 – January 12, 2024
Jean Elizabeth Wagner – proud wife, mother, granny, great-granny, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully on January 12, 2024 in Kindersley, Saskatchewan at the age of 85. Jean was born to Jim and Dorothy Johnstone and was raised on the farm near Neilburg, SK.
Jean was the loving wife of her late husband Sam Wagner. Her memory will be cherished by her four children Robert (Vivian) Wagner, Rose (Rodney) Roussell, Patty (Barry) Smith and James (Jennifer) Wagner; eight grandchildren Becky (Bryan) Manz, Kristina Wagner, Dustin Hodgkinson, Hannah Hodgkinson, Jesse (Brianne) Smith, Jay (Byron) Sperling, Ella Wagner and Jacob Wagner; 3 great-grandchildren Mabel Manz, Linden Sperling, and Owen Sperling.
Jean is survived by brothers Rod (the late Maureen) Johnstone and Richard (Ann) Johnstone; and predeceased by brother Jim (Mary) Johnstone.
The people in Jean’s life were numerous. She especially enjoyed sharing a laugh over a cup of coffee, a game of cards or a chat about her beloved Toronto Blue Jays. Jean was well known for her wonderful home cooked meals for which family loved to gather and enjoy together. She was a Lady of the Royal Purple, and enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, puzzles and reading. Her family will best remember her for joining them in a family trip to Jamaica.
There will be a private family gathering to celebrate the life of Jean.
