The family of Isobel Kelly are saddened to announce her passing on Monday, February 13, 2023 at the age of 95 years.
Isobel Kelly, wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, aunt. A rock to many, a friend to all.
Mom was raised in the farming community of Netherhill, and after attending University in Saskatoon, returned to the area, where she and dad raised 10 kids. The home was busy, maybe even chaotic at times, but it was a loving, fun home. Work ethic, accountability, and helping others were important to our parents, and they led by example.
Mom loved learning. Self taught for the most part, she was well versed in politics, economics and finances. Reading was a life-long passion, and one that she instilled in her children. The excitement of the latest encyclopedia and other reading materials arriving at the house still rings fresh.
After the kids were raised, and the loss of her husband, Isobel relocated to Kelowna. It was a busy 20 years. Friends were easily made, and it was a whirlwind of activity - each day was full. Bridge, travel, visits from old and dear friends, and of course family.
Mom always loved the Prairies, and when her health started to decline, moved back to Kindersley, where she was able to reconnect with her past.
Mom had a good full life. The end was not easy for her, but she had amazing support.
Predeceased by her husband Bill and son Robbie. Survived by children Marcia(Brian), Greg(Laurie), Patrice, Colleen (Ron), Leslie, Frances, Kendal (Sasha), Lanita, Shawna, grandchildren, Shane, Lori, Michael, Michelle, Randy, Mishaela, Kelly, Ken, Brian, Renee, Haley, Terrance, Adam.
