Gary James Francis

Gary James Francis was born May 19th, 1956 to Howard & Laverna (nee Huber) Francis of Kindersley, SK, and was one of five children.  He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 at the age of 65 years.

Gary grew up in the (larger) Kindersley, SK area.  His family moved between the family farm at Mantario and the town of Eatonia, SK.  Eventually he and his young family moved to the Kornelson farm nearer to Kindersley, and finally in the town of Kindersley itself.  He worked as a plumber for a number of companies before venturing out and starting his own company in 2000.  Gary moved on from Kindersley in 2011, going to the Meota/Battleford area, before finally ending up in Vawn, SK.

Over the years, Gary enjoyed being a part of the Mantario Lions Club, and curling.

Gary had been predeceased in this life by his parents, Howard & Laverna Francis, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He is survived by his beloved children: Sheena Francis (Scean Clandening), Chelsea Francis, Sharaya Francis (Kory Moore), Lucas Francis, and their families.  He also leaves his sister, Donna (Rob) Ritchie, and brothers; Ken (Karen) Francis, Corey Francis, and Brian (Rochelle) Francis.  Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends have also been left behind to keep his memory alive.

There will be a Memorial Mass held for Gary on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kindersley SK with Father Barry Tkachuk as Celebrant.  Everyone is welcome to a luncheon in the church hall following the service (and private family interment) where all can share in memories of Gary and a musical performance will be held in his honour.
