His large extended family would like to announce the passing of Esmond Johnston Allcock at the Kerrobert Health Center on Thursday, March 22, 2018. He was a loved man; by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and dare say I, his great, great grandchildren (A total of seventy one souls in all).
He celebrated his 108th birthday on January 26, 2018, and maintained his good nature and story telling up until a few hours before he went to meet his Lord last Thursday evening. Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, he was the second oldest, and only survivor of eight siblings, and a widower since 2011 from his wife Helen (after 72 years of marriage). He was living in the wonderful care of the Kerrobert Health Center for the last several years.
Survived now by four senior citizen children, Dale Allcock, Jill Lehne, Linda Forsberg, and Chere Lehne, (Yes the girls married brothers). His two other sons predeceased him; Danny in 1976 and Jim in 1998.
Funeral service will be held at the Luseland Aliance Church (101 ~ Anderson Street, Luseland, SK) at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018 with interment in the Kerrobert Cemetery. The Funeral will be officiated by Pastor Jason Sheppard and Pastor Wilf Gaertner.
