Darcine Joanne Kornelson
It is with broken hearts that the family of Darcine Joanne Kornelson announce her passing on October 22, 2019 at the age of 62. Darcine will be lovingly remembered by her brother Dennis (Aileen), nieces Sarah and Amy (Deigan) cousins, and numerous friends near and far. She was predeceased by her father Cliff (1981) and mother Clarice (2010).
Darcine was born August 1, 1957 in Kindersley where she spent her childhood and attended both elementary and high school. During her school years in Kindersley, Darcine was active in many school sports, and spent many years at the swimming pool.
After high school, Darcine moved to Saskatoon where she attended Robertson Secretarial College and then worked at the City Hall and with the Saskatoon City Police service. In the mid 1990’s, Darcine returned to Kindersley working briefly with Ganze Reece Oil, followed by 20 years with Millenium(Palliser) Land Service. She embraced everything that a small town had to offer – community theatre, golf, curling and swimming, various committees with the arts and culture , and most recently St. Paul’s United Church Bell Choir.
Darcine always enjoyed travelling whether to Belize, New York, Las Vegas or anywhere someone would suggest. After her retirement from Millenium, she enjoyed a beautiful trip to Greece and had her sights set on new ventures.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
There will be a Memorial Service held for Darcine on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Paul's United Church, Kindersley SK with The Rev. Piotr Strzelecki officiating.
