Born March 7,1935 in Eston, Saskatchewan and passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. He was the eldest of two sons born to Jack and Mabel Brewer.
Calvin attended Grade One at Montrose school before moving to Isham with his family. Later he would attend high school in Kindersley, living in the dorms there.
During his life he worked for Construction Services for many years. Later Sam’s Trucking and Uncle Dick’s Trucking as well other various adventures.
While in Glidden he met Rena Kucher. They married December 2,1960, and together they had three sons.
Calvin was active in the Lion’s Club for many years. He loved fishing and visiting with his coffee buddies.
He had been predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Rena, in 2018; his parents John and Mabel Brewer; his father and mother-in-law, Mike and Maggie Kucher; his only brother, Ken; as well as his brothers-in-law, Bill Kucher and Darryl Blick; and sister-in-law, Louise Kucher.
He will be lovingly remembered by his three children: Michael (Judy), Martin (Christine), and Oren (Diane). His seven grandchildren: Cameron (Jenna), Leigh-Anne (Dean), David, Margaret, Barbara, Katherine, and Abby, as well as his two great-grandsons Seth, and Luka.
There will be a Celebration of Life held for Calvin on Saturday, May 9th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Church in Kindersley. For those who wish to make a donation in lieu of flowers, the family has chosen "The Lung Association of Saskatchewan" and "The Heart & Stroke Foundation" to support in his memory.
