Derrick was in hospital with me on Oct.25th , he was a huge comfort to me at the time as we shared the current common health condition and room in a very busy hospital. it turned out i am employed with a local company and industry he had so much experience in. It was a delight to know him for such a short time and hear the many stories, he took the time to share with me . He inspired me to become a trucker so I know i will one day .

Our deepest condolences to all the family, particularly Mindy, the kids and Chance. Every memory of Derrick is only a good one. His upbeat personality, sense of fun and constant kindness will not be forgotten. He will be deeply missed. We are so saddened at the news of his passing, and send all our love.
