It is with heavy hearts that the family of Brent Roszell announces his passing on March 29, 2026, at the Kerrobert Health Centre, at the age of 62, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Brent was born on August 19, 1963, in Watrous, Saskatchewan. In his early years, he lived in Turtleford before moving to Kerrobert in July of 1977, where he would spend the majority of his life and become a well-known and cherished member of the community.
On August 28, 1987, Brent married the love of his life, Joan (Beckwith), in Kerrobert. Together they built a life centered on family, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.
Brent dedicated much of his working life to the oilfield with Weatherford before retiring. Over the years, he also worked with D&F and in maintenance at the Kerrobert Hospital and Buena Vista, always known as someone dependable and hardworking.
Those who knew Brent will remember him for his quick wit, good-natured teasing, and his love of joking with anyone he met. He had a gift for making people smile and truly cherished visiting and connecting with others in the community.
Brent had a deep passion for sports, especially hockey and golf. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing recreationally, and he remained a lifelong fan of the game. He rarely missed an opportunity to watch local minor and senior hockey, and he proudly cheered on his favorite NHL team, the Montreal Canadiens. He also devoted time to coaching his children in both baseball and hockey, creating lasting memories along the way.
Above all else, Brent loved his family deeply. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and an adoring grandfather whose greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved.
Brent is lovingly remembered by his wife, Joan; his daughter Ashley (Darcy McMillan); his son Travis Roszell; his grandchildren, Dallan and Maddyn McMillan; his mother, Sherry Roszell; his brothers, Ross (Kathy) Roszell and Reagan (Lynne) Roszell; along with extended family and many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Wendell Roszell.
A celebration of Brent’s life will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Church in Kerrobert, with Shauna Meek officiating.
In memory of Brent, donations may be made to the Kerrobert Health Centre Palliative Care Unit, whose compassionate care meant so much to him and his family.
Brent’s laughter, kindness, and presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
