When one is greatly loved, there is never enough time with them. The family of Bernie Krentz surrounded him with love as he left his earthly life to join Jesus and those family and friends who have gone before him. Bernie passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the age of 85 years.
Bernie will live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly. His wife of 65 years, Annella Krentz (nee Renneberg) and their children: Peter & Arlene Krentz of Okotoks, AB, Carey & Jeanne Krentz of Kindersley, SK and Curtis & Marion Krentz of Bruno, SK. A grandparent’s love is unconditional and without reservation which he had for his beloved grandchildren: Jennifer (Shun Akakura) Krentz, Janelle Krentz, Colin Krentz, Nigel (Brittany) Krentz, Courtney Krentz, Chelsea (Chris) Galbraith, Madison (Damian Cormons) Krentz, and Paige Krentz as well as his 6 great-grandchildren. Bernie will also be mourned by his extensive family and friends: Sisters: Marion Richardson, Diane & Ken Megyesi, Kathy & Len Steckler. Sisters-In-Law: Rose Krentz, Loretta Krentz, Marion Krentz, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
He had been predeceased by his parents Peter & Catherine (nee Roth) Krentz, his dearly loved and missed son Larry, as well as all his brothers: Edward in infancy, Francis, Joseph, Sylvester, Raymond, and Dennis; his sisters: Florence Yungwirth, Geraldine Kalinski, and his twin sister Bernadette in infancy. Bernie is also predeceased by brothers & sisters-In-Law: Francis Yungwirth, Kathy Krentz, Frank Richardson, Rosalie Krentz, Diana (Weiman) Krentz, Doug Kalinski, and Matty Renneberg.
Bernie had been a life-long resident of Bruno, SK up until last year when he and Annella moved to Kindersley where they were quickly making friends at their new home in Caleb Village. Bruno will always be where their roots are and so with this, his ashes will return to their home.
There will be a Memorial Mass held for Bernie on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. from St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, Bruno, SK with Father Pius Schroh as Celebrant. Following the service, Bernie’s ashes will be interred to their final rest in the St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery beside his son Larry.
This service will be Livestreamed through both this Funeral Home as well as Schuler-Lefevbre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, SK. The link can be found below.
