Pauline Louise Woodrow

It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Pauline Louise Woodrow.

Mom was born at home on their farm on October 16, 1919, 4 miles south east of Kindersley, one of six children born to Clayton and Emma Bowman.  She attended Turvin School and took grades 9 and 10 by correspondence and then a business course in Kitchener, Ontario.  She worked down east for several years and then travelled to work in Vancouver before coming home to Kindersley to marry our father, William Clifford Woodrow (Curly) on December 27, 1944. They lived in Regina where Judy and Ken were born and then moved back to Kindersley where Carole and Dennis were born.

Mom was very business minded and bought a store on 1st Avenue West (Mrs. Flynne's Hat Shop) and started a career in children's wear in about 1954, called Polly's shop. Our fater built our residence behind the store where we lived for many years.

Several years later, she started a used furniture store in this location and also from there, managed Arthur Rose Cleaners, a franchise out of Saskatoon.  She was very accomplished and successful in her many business endeavors.

She enjoyed many hobbies, including bridge, golfing, wintering in Arizona with her second husband Pat Palin, and enjoyed all of her family, especially, her grandchildren.

Pauline was predeceased by son Ken in 1979, husband Curly in 1983, daughter Judy in 1996 and second husband Pat in 1997.  She is lovingly survived by her remaining children, Carole adn Dennis (Vera) and their families.

There will be a Private Family Service for Pauline at a later date.
