It is with great sadness that we, the family of Allan “Pat” Galloway Gatenby announce his passing at the Kerrobert Hospital April 30, 2018 at the age of 90.
He leaves his 3 sons; Dale (Donna), granddaughters Hana, Cassidy; Dean (Cathy) granddaughter Katie (Danny), great-granddaughter Sloan, grandson Kiel (Kailey), great-granddaughter Emmerson, great-grandson Harris; and Tim (Karen) to celebrate his life and cherish his memories.
Pat was born August 28, 1927 on the family farm south of Regina Beach, where he was the youngest of 4, Jim, Bob and May. With the passing of Pat, marks the end of a generation.
Pat met and married the love of his life, Mary Cooper. They were married May 18, 1951. They lived in Regina, where Pat worked for Waterman & Waterberry installing furnace’s. He then started working for Esso in Smiley, Alida and Dodsland, SK where he retired after 25 years. After retirement he started an Oilfield business with his son Dean. In 1978 after his second retirement he bought a ¼ section of land southeast of Spiritwood on Larsen Lake. Which he and mom, family and many friends have enjoyed since. On his 90th birthday, he was giving the great-grandchildren rides on the quad around the lake much to the delight of himself and the children.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Pat at a Dodsland Hall, Dodsland, SK on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. The family please welcomes everyone to come share their cherished memories and fond stories they have of Pat during this time.
Pat will then be laid to rest beside his love, Mary at the St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Kennell, SK at a later date.
