There, he attended Stony Vista School and helped his dad on the farm.  Otto joined the army during WWII and thereafter took up work dry walling in B.C. and Northern Alberta before settling down to farm in the Glidden area.

Playing baseball was a favorite pastime for Otto.  This was where he met up with Vicki Becker. They married November 23rd 1960, and he became Dad to Bob, Janett and Duane.

Otto and Vicki spent 56 loving years together farming, traveling, playing cards, fishing and curling with family and friends.  A favorite experience for them was going to Disneyland with ALL the grandchildren at different times.
