PINCEMIN – Odelia (Tillie) passed away on November 18, 2019, at the age of 90.  Tillie was born on the farm on Sec. 12-19-25-W3rd south of Prelate.  She was one of 12 children born to Anton and Rosa Mardian.  Tillie worked various jobs, notably for Bert and Amy Hargrave whom she respected immensely.  Eventually her travels took her to Don and Edna Pincemin’s farm where she came to help take care of the children.  This led to her meeting Don’s brother, Bob, who she married in July 1954.

Tillie worked at Sunset Lodge for 25 years as laundress.  She was a hard worker and was very proud to tell you that when she retired, they had to hire two people to replace her.  Tillie loved to garden and always had a bountiful harvest.

Tillie and Bob owned land and farmed. Since Bob had polio at a young age his brothers custom farmed the land for them. Tillie always had a very keen interest in what was going on at the farm to the very end.

Tillie took great interest in following her nieces’ and nephews’ activities. She would always give them some money to buy a treat when she saw them. Tillie and Bob never had children but said that all their nieces and nephews were their children.

Tillie stayed in her own home until her vision began to fail.  She then moved to Eatonia Oasis Living where she received exceptional care.

Tillie is survived by three sisters, Mary Volk, Regina Materi and Anne Schlosser, sister-in-law, Edith Pincemin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will take place on November 26, 2019, at 2pm at St. Paul’s United Church, Reverend Piotr Strzelecki officiating. Tillie will be interred beside her husband Bob in the Kindersley Cemetery.
