Janzen, Mary
Mary passed away peacefully in Kindersley Hospital at the age of 71 years surrounded by her family. Mary was known for her strength of character, her strong faith, her wisdom, compassion, humour and love that she shared with many. Mary was born to Thomas & Ruth (Kirby) Legg in Calgary AB on December 29, 1947. Mary pursued her career as a nurse getting a Bachelor of Science in nursing in Edmonton. From there she was led to be a nurse up in La Crete AB where she met the love of her life Clarence Janzen whom she married on June 5, 1971. Mary continued to nurse for 32 years while guiding the family with an entrepreneurial spirit. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, embroidery, gardening, playing the accordion and was always learning new crafts.
She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers Tim and Stephen, niece Annie Bucholz, Uncle Charles and Auntie Jean Kirby, Uncle Leonard and Aunt Ruth Kirby. She will be lovingly remembered by Clarence, her husband of 48 years; her children Lawrence (Sara), Roy and Theresa (Nels); ten grandchildren Jonathan (Tia), Pamela, Samuel, Jonah, Laura, Theresa (Nick), James, Eva, Teresa (Keehan) & Cody; and her great grandchildren; her sister Vicki (George) Bucholz; as well as her uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on March 23, 2019 at the Clearview Community Church in Kindersley, SK at 2:00 pm.
