Kathleen Draves

In loving memory of Kathleen Draves who passed away on Friday, October the 18th 2019 at the age of 83 years.

There will be a Memorial Mass in Our Lady Of The Assumption, Catholic Church, Kerrobert, SK on Saturday, October the 26th 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Fr. Daniel Yasinski as Celebrant. interment will follow in the Kerrobert Cemetery.

The family of Kathleen Draves are saddened to announce her passing on Oct. 18. 2019, in the Kerrobert and District Health Center. Kathleen is survived by her brother Harold Draves, nephews Pat and Wayne Draves, niece Lori Lepitzki, and great-niece Sasha Lepitzki and several cousins in the Draves and Hill families. She was predeceased by her father Hank Draves, her mother Irene (Hill), her sister-in- law Marlene Draves and her sister and brother-in-law, Veronica and Bill Allison. Kathleen was born in the big Eaton farmhouse near Ermine Sask. She attended Bonn school and St. Joseph’s Convent in Rosetown, Sask. After school she worked as a hired girl for several neighbors before attending Business College in Saskatoon. She worked at the Sask. Wheat Pool, the Royal Bank, the Kerrobert school unit office, the IPL office and ended with the Wheat Pool Service Center in Kerrobert. She was a very committed employee wherever she worked. Her attention to detail was remarkable. She was very proficient with numbers and could find a mistake down to the last penny in an account. Kathleen loved to travel and visited many parts of Canada, the U.S., Europe and Mexico. Wherever she traveled, she always met new friends and tried to keep in touch with them for years after. She knew so many people and was always ready to share a story about them. She looked after many children in her time and they have all become her family. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary, graduation or birth of a new baby. She loved going to casinos and enjoyed many bus trips over the years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Kerrobert on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Pioneer Haven 230 Manitoba Ave. Kerrobert, Sk.
