Donald "Don" Bangs

In loving memory of Donald "Don" Bangs who passed away on Saturday, June 17th 2017 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of the late Louvaine Bangs, and father of Warren, Glenn (Lisa), & Lynn.

A memorial service will be held for Don on Saturday, June 24th 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul's United Church, Kindersley, SK, with Rev. Piotr Strzelecki officiating.

Memorial donations in Don's name can be kindly directed to the Heritage Manor in care of Kindersley & District Health & Wellness Foundation.

July 31, 1930 to June 17, 2017 - Donald James Bangs was born to Jemima (Wotherspoon) and Percy Bangs of Kindersley, SK. Don attended school in Pinkham and Kindersley. Don farmed his entire life in the Pinkham community and had many lifelong friends there. Like his father Percy, he spent much of his off-season time doing carpentry work, which was also a passion of his as a hobby.

Donald married Louvaine Gassner in 1954 and had three children, Warren, Glenn, and Lynn.  Don was a member of St. Paul's United Church, B.P.O. Elks, and the Pinkham Wheat Pool Committee for 43 years.

Don is survived by his two sons, Warren, Glenn (Lisa), their children Nolan and Ethan, and daughter, Lynn.  Donald was predeceased by Louvaine, his wife of 50 years.
