In Loving memory of Olive Marion Sonmor, who passed away in Golden, BC on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the age of 90 years.

Beloved wife of the late Laurence Sonmor.

October 24, 1926 – November 27, 2016

We announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Olive, in hospital in Golden, B.C. on November 27, 2016, in her 90th year.

Her memory will be cherished by her children; Ed and (Jeanne) Sonmor, Della and (David) Phillips, Jan and (Cheryl) Sonmor; her grandchildren: Dale Phillips, Greg and (Richelle) Phillips, Jordan and (Kelly) Sonmor, Kendall and (Kevin) Gee, and Lars Sonmor; her great grandsons: Weston Sonmor and Trace Gee; her sister Velma Bakken; her sister-in-law June Forsyth and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Laurence Elias Sonmor in 1999, her parents Robert and Katherine Searl, brothers Vinson, Melvin (Gladys), Alvin (Ella) (Margaret), brothers-in-law Frank Pratt and Elmer Bakken, niece Glenda Turner, nephew Murray Pratt, and great nephew Greg Pratt.

The funeral service was held December 5, 2016 in St. Paul’s United Church in Kindersley with Rev. Piotr Strzelecki officiating.  Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Loverna, SK.
