It is with heavy hearts the family of Louis Joseph Rousson, loving husband of June Rousson, announce his peaceful passing. Louis passed at his eldest sons' home in Sechelt, BC, surrounded by family on Oct 26, 2017.

Louis was born August 29, 1939, in Cudworth, Sk., and grew up in Prud'homme, SK. Louis is survived by his loving wife, June, of 58 years and their sons: Dennis Rousson (Silvia), Donald Rousson (Valerie), Randy and Leanne Rousson and Daughters: Michelle and Allan Nunweiler & Cherie and Dean Braham. From this union, there are 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by four sisters and his brother.
Marie Anne Hocking, Madeleine (Viczko) Brian Bowyer, Rita Wirachowsky, Lorraine Currie (Verne LaMarche), Larry (Cathy) Rousson
Brother-in-law, Gary (Betty) Groves, and sister in law Barb Groves.
He was pre- deceased by his parents, Rose and Elzear Rousson, Father and Mother in law, John and Gertrude Groves, sister Lucille, numerous brother-in- laws, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Louis married June Groves in Kindersley, Sk, on June 30, 1959, at St.Josephs Catholic Church at the age of 19. Louis spent his entire working career at Quickfalls Body Shop, purchasing the business in 1979 and finally selling out in 2006 at the age of 67 years young. During those years he made many good friends and was grateful for the business support from the community. Louis always took the time to train and mentor his employees, many of them going on to be very successful in different careers. He was proud of them all.

Aside from being very busy with family, watching the girls dance, attending scouting camping trips or driving for hockey, this was all a part of the daily routine of a large family. Louis also found time to volunteer, being a life long member of Knights of Columbus and a Grand Knight for two years, at two different times. He was also a member of the Kinsmen Club, who were very active as well. With Louis being involved in such projects as building the Kinsmen park and maintaining the outdoor skating rink. In later years, Louis and June joined the Rotary club and attended meetings and fundraising events.

Over the years, Louis enjoyed multiple activities: curling, bowling and golfing, just to name a few. Louis and June shared a great love for music and dancing.
They loved to travel and he had finally decided (with pressure) that being a part of the senior park in Apache Junction, Az. Was now ok.
His real love at the end of the day was the prairies and the great outdoors. His heart was a farmers heart, helping his own father on the farm (when younger) then helping his wife's dad, Johnny Groves, then finally his son in laws', Allan Nunweiler. Driving truck, moving equipment until the early hours of the morning.

Louis also found joy in gardening. His hands were always busy fixing, building, helping anyone that needed help. Family and friends were always a priority. He will be remembered as a kind, honest and loving man.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Devlin Funeral Home in Gibson, BC and the Kindersley Community Funeral Home.
The celebration of Louis life will be held at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Kindersley, SK. On sat, November 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Kindersley Cemetary.
